Bella Rose Vineyard & Winery is looking for enthusiastic vineyard and winemaking assistant. With a mission to craft wines with a level of quality and refinement that set the benchmark for the Niagara Wine Region and beyond. The winery is in Lewiston, New York and focuses on northern French and southern German varieties taking advantage of the Niagara escarpments’ microclimate. The newly constructed production facility provides the tools and resources necessary for the most intricate, creative, and experimental winemaking objectives.

Position Description:

Under general supervision, the winemaking and vineyard assistant will help in all areas of the vineyard and winemaking through harvest including crushing, pressing, juice/wine movements, and barrel work. General vineyard management including outside work that is weather dependent would be included.

Essential Duties:

Tractor operation

Vineyard management

Grape receiving, sorting, crushing and pressing

Brix/Temp analysis on fermenters and barrel lots

Juice analysis and data tracking

Pumpovers and punchdowns

Draining and pressing tanks

Juice and wine additions

Juice/wine racking

Barrel filling, racking, and topping

Barrel sanitation, and maintenance

General sanitation of all winery and vineyard equipment

Accurately follow and complete work-orders under general supervision

Job Types: Part-time, Internship

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
